How do I book my Silver Tray rail vacation?

Simply clik Plan Journey in the upper right corner.

 

Can I start in any of the 50 Silver Tray cities, and at any date I want?

Yes

 

Can I make my journey as short or as long as I want?

Yes

 

Will my One Daily Rate ever change?

No. It's valid for every city and every length of stay

 

Are trains, hotels and transfers between train stations and hotels always included?

Yes.

Our First package furthermore includes airport pick-up, First cabin train, better hotels and a Meet a Local-experience or a rental car included, whenever you stay more than one night in any city

How long are the train journeys?

Comfortably short, and never more than four hours, except for Venice-Rome which is a little longer. But we think it's worth it!

 

When do I receive my exact train departure times?

Around 8 weeks before your starting date you will receive your complete itinerary, including any vouchers.

For your planning purposes, simply choose between a morning departure getting you to the next city in time for lunch, or an afternoon departure, getting you to your next city in time for dinner.

 

Where do I find my saved and booked journeys?

When logged-in, click on your user name in the upper left corner - it's your email address

 

How do I purchase a saved journey?

Pull up your list of saved journeys, then click the Book/Edit button. This will take you through the payment process.

 

What if I change my mind after purchase?

All journeys are 50% refundable up to 90 days before your Silver Tray starting date, no questions asked.

What hotels have you picked for me?

All our hotels are centrally located with a customer satisfaction score of Good, Very Good or Excellent on TrustYou MetaReview, the world's largest guest review platform.

 

What is a local experience, if I stay an extra night in a city?

Meet a Local - you'll be picked up at your hotel for a two-hour walk around the city. Simply tell your local expert what you'd like to see, or get inspired by their favourite places.

Or you may choose a fully insured rental car to explore beyond the city. Everything included except fuel.

 

it's a long time before i travel - Is my payment secure?

what happens if i miss a train?

We always include a transfer between your hotel and the train station - our driver will ensure that you get there in time.

 

Can i change my journey once it's booked?

We'll do anything we can to accommodate your wishes, however there may be additional charges.

 

How much luggage can i bring?

Trains and transfers will accommodate your normal airline baggage allowance, meaning one checked-in and one hand-luggage item per person. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring more.
